I have experimented with Edmodo and I really like the possibilities. I tried to sue it with a summer technology class I taught last summer. I was not able to continue using Edmodo, as I had originally planned because the students did not have access to computers when not at school.
I am fascinated by the MOOCs and have browsed them when I needed to find information for personal needs. I especially like the oil.cmu.edu, this is the Carnegie Mellon MOOC. I see the MOOC as the future of education. Perhaps each BOCES district should have a Library type MOOC and the area librarians could contribute to it. I also enjoy the iTunes University MOOC and have published a lesson on Dewey on the site.
Good reads is also an excellent resource. I like to see what my friends and family are reading to get their advice on good reads.
In this thing, it appears that I have used them more for my own personal enrichment and have not really made them available to students and staff. I will try to mention MOOCS to staff.

Thing 11
I added a pin for my favorite beach, Rehoboth Beach in Delaware to the collaborative map.
I played around with the Google maps 3D version
I plan to create a QR scavenger hunt for our PBIS team. I need to work with the team to create questions. I will bring this idea up at the PBIS meeting on this Wednesday. I will share what we create soon.

Thing # 9
Thing 9 It's been real fun
I use libguides and have found some good ideas by looking at other schools/collegeslibguides.
PHS has libguides
Lately I have been adding to a Livebinder and also have found good resources other people have collected in livebinders. Im curentl taken a class that requires me to post my work in my livebinder.
I think I will pursue Livebinders in the future

About thing 5
I have used photopeach, glogster, prezi, voki, voic thread etc Even some of the comic strip tools. I have an overload of tools and I'm finding it hard to sort them out right now. I was browsing storify and scoopit but need to look at them again at another time. . The tools are great and it's fun to create with them. I use for my class/lesson presentations but the studenst are not catching on. I have had sucess with prezi and photopeach so, far. Glogster was free for a class but I have used all my accounts.
